Temptation

When I read SkUmBaG68's article, I was disgusted. I couldn't believe that anyone could have the nerve to hack anyone's account. But as the day went on, I experienced mixed opinions...

After the disgust, I was shocked, as most of you were. I felt one hundred percent behind all of those who were against scamming.

Then, I was impressed. Anyone who had the guts to say what they did and basically turn themselves in had quite the nerve.

Later, I was almost... and I'm ashamed to say this... tempted. I thought, well, it works, right? But then I shook the thought from my mind and continued living my life.

I thought, I know some of my friends' passwords (friends I know from real life, like those that are in my class and have been going to school with me for years and I am best friends with, those of whom I would trust with my life)... I could make a few clams off of this! But I knew it was wrong and I didn't. These are my friends I'm talking about. I am an honest person and so are they. No one deserves to be scammed. No one. Not even the lowest most ruthless hacker on Earth. And I'm proud that I was able not to fall into the temptation of the scamming racket.

I think I have come out of these thoughts a better person, almost understanding why these people take time out of their lives to do these awful things.

Don't risk the temptation. Don't consider scamming. The people who scam are not helping themselves any. when they get their million clams they will be faced by guilt, and there is no worse punishment. This is why I am starting a THINK, DON'T SCAM campaign, and if you wish to join just y mail me. In this, I will design a THINK, DON'T SCAM badge which you will be sent (for free). This can be your way of saying that scamming is wrong. There is no membership charge, because charging people for doing the right thing and not scamming is a scam in itself.

I am not on Whyville everyday, so be patient when you y-mail me. I'll make the badges as soon as I can get out of this waiting room...
