This portrait is of Jack Barakat, a member of the band All Time Low. Jack has such unique facial features that I was very excited to draw. Although the subject matter is the same as the majority of the portraits I've submitted to the times (famous guys) this portrait is a little bit different than the others because of the media used. Usually, I only use 8B pencil for my drawings, but this time I decided to try only use a stick of charcoal and a torchon to shade. Because of this, I got a much smoother shading effect that looks almost more realistic than the others. Fun fact: after sending this drawing to Jack on Twitter, his response to the portrait was "rad!"
