The ignorance is painful
I cannot reply
The arrogance is terrorizing
in my eyes
I do not open up, my instinct is to hide
Misunderstanding fortune and they suffer pride

I see a fountain and I watch it gather souls
They throw their pennies in and do as they are told
I know you cannot keep your heads when you are sold
I understand, and turn them in for given gold

The innocence is painful
So I look away
The reference brings memories
I always pay
I only see them every now and then again
Enough, it's all I need
I can't keep myself sane

I see a fountain and I watch it murder prudes
They throw their lies away
they know that they are bruised
I know you hate yourselves when you see that you're used
I understand, I'll keep your secret when you lose

I see a fountain and I quickly turn around,
I recall every time I sought that lost and found
