PANDEMIC
Like the heat on that first summer day
And the way
Sunscreen seeps into your skin
Light bends, and you artificially sparkle from within
Blades cutting and leaving behind a scent
The warmth of the sun, an ever-present present
A walk through the trails,
A bike ride through a park
An ice cream truck wailing
The hot pavement warming,
And the tennis rackets swinging, the children playing
Rhythmically moving
And love floating
The summer breeze blowing
