Hello, hello! And welcome to Price Punch! Now, I very well realize that "Price Punch" isn't the frilly, eloquent title one would expect for a fashion article. You may have been more drawn in by titles such as "Beautiful Bargains" or "Cut-Rate Couture" or "Dashing Depreciation". However I chose not to use these elaborate, flowing titles and for very good reason! I didn't think of them until now, and I've already got all the pictures saved under Price Punch. Who wants to go through the pain of renaming a whole 9 pictures? Not me.
Ah, well. C'est la vie.
I'd like to think there's a moral to this story. Today I'm writing to show you that you don't have to be like me, settling for the not-so-fabulous when it's right within your reach. Go ahead, push for the fabulous! Because if you're smart about it, it may not be as painful as it seems.
See that? That's a painful $2000 of fabulous. Ouch. I don't know about you, but I don't have that much money to shell out for 1 outfit. Or 10. But you don't have to settle for your great great great grandmother's old hand-me-downs, my friend! We're about to do some price punching.
As fabulous as it may sound to say you're wearing a Micheal Kors tank top, no one's going to be seeing your shirt label, and it is just a tank top after all. You can probably find a little more of dressy tank top at a variety of clothing stores this time of year. Through my internet searches, I found this lacy one at Walmart for a little under $8.00. Slipping a black or white camisole from home (or just about any clothing store for a couple bucks) underneath can help to bring out the fun floral lace patterns and integrate this top into your outfit.
Depending on where you go, you can probably find a pair of white capris somewhere for under $20.00. I found the ones listed online at QVC.com for $15.00, but if you aren't too savvy about online shopping, these shouldn't be a difficult item to run into. I couldn't find them listed online, but I did buy a pair of white denim capris at Aeropostale the other day for a few bucks more at $18.00.
These slip-on American Eagle flats are an excellent alternative to the pricier Dolce & Gabbana ballet flats. With a comfortable fabric padding, these lightweight flats would be great for those who are out and about in the summertime. I haven't tried these particular slip-ons, but I have purchased a couple American Eagle brand shoes and was pretty pleased with my buy.
Maybe it's just me, but I've always struggled with finding quality handbags at cheap prices, whether it be online or in stores. Not wanting to throw quality out the window, I compromised a little and chose this nice, belted handbag from Kohl's.
Well ladies and gentlemen (or probably just ladies), we've come across the most expensive item on our list - a simple pair of sunglasses. This has got to be about the easiest price to punch. Heck, you can demolish it without even trying. Charlotte Russe was my preferred fist of fury today, with a pretty little sale price of $5.00. It still has the nice embellished metal sides, which may be hard to see in the picture, and I felt the pink tinted shades integrated themselves into the color scheme of the outfit quite nicely.
I like going to Wet Seal for jewelry because aside from their low prices, they have a pretty awesome ongoing deal of buy 1, get 1 50% off. That's like a punch and a kick right there.
I bought this necklace at Wet Seal the other day for a dollar more than the 7 piece statement necklace listed above. I thought it was a bit more similar to the design of the Dannijo Middleton Necklace, but couldn't find it listed online. Punching options are always open!
This is our finished, reduced-cost outfit! After a little looking, we've managed to punch $2016.63 out of that outfit and still manage a similar style. You can generally do this with most any pricey clothing, and there will be many ways to do it as well. So what are you waiting for? Go out and punch something today!
Hope you enjoyed!
