There's been a new development here at the Times that we are rather proud of. Have you noticed? We've included more and more special theme sections!
First we did the "Scam Alert" section, then we added the "Hot Topics" section where we're currently hosting the debate on animal experimentation. This week, we present the "Regina Reviews" section, featuring articles from Lilbeaut, Giggler01, Link123, even superid, reporting on the recent Whyville Town Hall Meeting in Regina on June 1, 2002.
If you missed the event, check out what these citizens have to say. And while we're on the topic of the Regina Meeting, it's high time we announce the winners of the Regina Poster Contest.
We received a great many excellent submissions. A selection was published right here in the Times, taking up the entire May 23, 2002 issue. Twenty of these submissions were actually included into the presentation that superid made at the AMTEC conference in Regina. These 20 finalists will each receive 100 clams, and they are:
Tropic67
Giggler01
Twigsy

We would like to award special honors to kaynine and Twigsy for their creative art entries, as well as link123 and LiLbEaUt for their special perspectives on Whyville. In addition, four devoted Whyvillians from Regina came to the Town Hall Meeting dressed up as the Whyville Bus and Whyville clams. They were Pinelope, kat4444, Giggler01, and monkeyft. We are honored to present each of these eight citizens a 30-day Why-Pass for their support of Whyville.
Congratulations!
Lastly, Kiki-iki-riki at the Tiki Travel Agency has asked me to announce that we are less than one week away from the sign-up deadline for the Solstice Safari. If you want to join in the fun and raise your salary by as much as 12 clams, you'd better get moving! Not sure what to think about the Safari? Read what citizens have to say!
Keeing you up with the Times,
