This picture was taken in a cave about an hour away from Branson, MO. It is one of 4 caves in the world that can be driven through instead of walking. Years ago they used to have concerts inside the cave in an open space they had found. When the owner found the cave he put an ad in the newspaper looking for someone to explore it, and to his surprise the only response was from a group of women that were willing to go.
These formations take a very long time to form. The small little raindrop looking ones on the left side on the ceiling have already been there for about 100 years. If those took that long you can imagine how long it took to form that big one in the back.
