PANDEMIC

Long, long ago in a land far away (Thursday at the Wellness Center), three friends, Mari, Melanie, and Trent, were sitting and lounging around after a long day of fun. Trent was busy playing Candy Crush on his phone, while the girls gossiped about the latest fashion faux pas of a certain young lady named Steve. They were definitely all enjoying their time for relaxation, but what seemed to be a normal night inside would soon turn into the most epic adventure story ever told.

After a while, Trent started getting hungry and began to daydream about donuts, butting into the girls' conversation about pandas or something.

Trent's craving got them going, as they all started wanting some nice, juicy donuts. I'm pretty sure donuts generally aren't juicy though, but hey, are jumbo shrimp really that big? Soon after, Melanie suggested a trip to Donut World, the happiest place on earth! Before they knew it, the friends were out the door and on their way.

As soon as the trio stepped outside, things got weird. And I mean weirder than your parents with a British accent. Think about it. A mutant alien dragon came out of the sky, and naive little Mari thought it would be a good idea to invite her along to Donut World. The dragon didn't seem to like the idea though and started to freak out, so they decided to make like a tree and leaf. Get it? Leaf!

The three friends dashed away as fast as they could, but there was no outrunning the alien dragon once she took to the skies. Rather than running, Mari and Melanie decided to fight her off with apples and wheelchairs. Yep, you heard right, apples and wheelchairs. Unfortunately, it only appeared to make the dragon angrier, so they quickly took shelter in the nearest building.

The minute they got inside, the alien dragon crashed through the windows in a fit of donut-inspired rage. Who knew sugar-filled rings of dough and love could make someone so mad? Trent frantically shouted out an escape plan, and in all the chaos, Melanie flipped over some poor guy's mancala game.

Unfortunately, Mari was so mesmerized by the wallpaper inside, that she tripped over the mancala game and couldn't go on. Clearly this was the dragon's fault and not, *ahem*, the fault of the one who knocked over the board. This meant war! Melanie and Trent tried to fight off the donut-hating dragon as she menacingly breathed fire atop the Donut World entrance.

After rainbows and insults were thrown around, everyone seemed to come to a realization. The alien dragon didn't hate donuts, she loved them! She was just excited to get to Donut World is all. So the three of them finally walked into the castle to find their fulfillment after a long, hard quest.

Whoops! Guess that wasn't Donut World after all. Note to self, never let these guys drive you around without a GPS, a map, and a bag of the westerly winds. So after breaking into the Dark Lord's castle, a death eater threatened for them to leave, or there would be more carnage than a gravy-covered cat walking into a dogs only poker game. Not good.

So, Melanie, Trent, and the alien dragon sadly sulked outside, not a donut to their names. I guess all their struggles were for naught. But hey, look on the bright side -- looks like that sturdy wall guy got a donut! There's always a light at the end of the tunnel, folks, so go ahead and grab yourself a donut! You deserve it.
