It has sunk in that you're going away
And even though I wished you well
What I really wanted to say is "Stay"
I miss you like words cannot describe
The wall I have put up has crumbled
When I think of you, I want to cry
My sad and lonely heart aches for you
The strong front I've put up breaks for you
Will you miss me like I will miss you?
We both can change so much in one year
Will we make new friends and drift apart?
Or will we still hold each other dear?
I want to keep the candle burning
Although love falls apart through absence
Love is intensified through yearning
Go live your life and I will live mine
I'll have many stories to tell you
When we meet again in one year's time
