For those of you who don't know me well, I love to cook. I often try cooking new and different things to see what works best. I mean, it's food. You can't go wrong with food! So, I thought I'd share a few cool winter recipe ideas with you.

1) Peppermint Hot Chocolate

I'm a sucker when it comes to spending tons of money on those stupid Keurig coffee cups. Those things are expensive, and sometimes they aren't even that good. Their peppermint hot chocolate is amazing, though! I've spent so much money buying a pack of it, almost weekly. Recently, I've found a better, and cheaper, way to make this amazing beverage.

What you'll need: Any brand of hot chocolate, and peppermint candy canes. This is a simple and quick recipe. Make your hot chocolate and stir it with the peppermint candy cane. The peppermint should melt into the hot chocolate giving it a peppermint flavor. You can do this with any flavor candy cane. You can come up with some wacky combinations!

2) Cinnamon Tortilla Chips and Snowman Poop

This recipe is fun to make and exceptionally good! When my little brother was younger, we made this very often.

What you'll need: Tortillas, butter flavored cooking spray, cinnamon, sugar, chocolate or white chocolate, a cookie sheet.

First, cut a tortilla in triangles, like you would a pizza. Lay them all on your cookie sheet, and spray the tops of the tortillas with the butter flavored cooking spray. Sprinkle the sugar and cinnamon on top. Next cook them until crunchy, or to your desire. While it's cooking, melt the chocolate. When it's all done you can dunk the tortilla chips in the "snowman poop".

3) Snowman Cupcakes

The name makes the recipe sound difficult, but if you're new to cooking this is rather simple!

What you'll need: Medium marshmallows, Hershey kisses, twizzlers, cupcakes, vanilla icing, a toothpick, black food coloring.

Take the vanilla icing and ice the cupcakes. Next, take one marshmallow and ice the top of it. Set the marshmallow on top of the cupcake, icing up. Take another marshmallow and ice the top of it. Set the marshmallow on top of the marshmallow already on the cupcake, icing up. Take another marshmallow, ice the top, and set it on the second marshmallow. Take a Hershey kiss and set it on the top marshmallow. Next, peel one string off a twizzler, wrap it around the snowman's neck. You may need to use some icing to keep it in place. Next, put some vanilla icing in a small bowl. Use the black food coloring and make it black. Take the tooth pick and get some icing on it. You can make the eyes, mouth, buttons, and whatever you please to spruce up your snowman!

I hope you enjoy these few recipes! They're super fun to make, and really good! Let me know if you make them and tell me how it turned out for you!
