In this world of overpriced items, we fight to get good quality things for a reasonable price. It's nuts to but something for $5.00 but should be worth 0.50 cents.
School is coming (September 2nd for me). So that may not be soon but I am creating this article to help.
I have created a school supply list already and have decided on what I am doing. I am going to Staples and Walmart. In each store I will spend $20 and under except I'll go over for shoes and a backpack.
Shopping on a Budget
1. In your newspaper, look for good deals for good brands. Or, what I do is while I'm shopping, I'll look at the prices and write it in my ipod so I know how much I am saving.
2. Do the budget challenge. For just me, my budget it hopefully under $120. Then, you'll pick 2 stores. In those stores, you'll try to get under your budget. If you go over, you punish yourself, like no computer for a week except for school and work.
3. Sales come around the beginning of the school year, so shop then.
Here is my school supplies list, just incase you were wondering.
