The Unsellable

Merchant
Times Writer

Hey, it's Merchant here. I have yet another important topic to discuss, and that's unsellable parts.

I was just hanging out in the playground one day. A girl had these really cool eyes. They were all slanted and a cool color. I went up to her and asked where she got them from. The girl responded, "Oh, but they're unsellable. Not for peasants such as yourself."

I mean, really! Peasants? I thought the kingdomship club was over and done with, and now I had this to deal with. I really wanted those eyes, so I tried very hard to make myself a pair like them. They turned out all right, and I was happy. Of course, I didn't make them unsellable.

Okay, now I know some of you must be a little confused. What's an unsellable part? It's a part that is made for one "special" person and denied to the general public. It's not only in Whyville either. Celebrities and other people get custom "unsellable"-ish stuff all the time.

How do you make a part unsellable? You make a cool part, and then you buy all of the quantities so no one else can. Is this fair? No. But it is it allowed? Yes. But it shouldn't be. Of course, Akbar can't help the situation.

But you, as a designer, can. Please don't make any of your parts unsellables, and restock often.

I'll be back for more reporting later on. Oh, and don't miss me in the Made You Laugh! sections.
