I'm not much for rhyming,
You can even ask my mom.
She says it's not my thing,
And I can't say she's wrong.
See that stanza right up there?
Yeah, it was pretty bad.
Poetry is more than I can bear,
It's nothing but a fad.
Rhyme this with that!
Don't ever lose the flow!
Don't let the beat fall flat!
Go read some Poe!
Well maybe poetry just sucks.
Maybe it was never great.
Why make such a ruckus,
About literature's vestigial trait?
Poetry is useless, bland, and dumb.
'Burn all poetry' should be the rule of thumb.
Kill all stanzas, stomp on the beats,
So people like me can get some sleep.
