The other day I found a post on a blog I read. It was for a visual art contest for a Gothic clothing store - with the prize being one of three gift certificates to that online store. Seeing as I love to draw and I love the store's clothes, I decided to enter. The only requirement was that a clothing piece from their store had to be used. I love their Haunted Circus collection, so I used my favorite dress from that, and it gave me the idea of drawing a marionette.
I made the strings red to symbolize her life source. Our life source is blood and hers is string. Clever? My favorite parts of this is her skin and how well the dress came out. The materials I used were a red marker for the string, black pen for the cracks and outlining, and the rest is colored pencil.
