Author's Note: I sang this song the other day in my school showcase. The lyrics and music are both written by me, and since the Times seems to have low submissions, I figured I would share my lyrics with all of you. I hope you enjoy.

When you hide in hollow words
And store regrets to feed the lies
When it comes down to oppression
And a series of reprise
You try to label your suffering
Just to file it away
But there's no name to call the void
You've accepted . . .

I can't recall the exposition
The expedition is my life
But in this army of four
We're bound to see the light
Because we fight
Oh, oh. Yeah we fight . . .

Battle wounds stored in boxes,
Hope you stained in smoke
I swear I thought I lost it
Oh no! Hm.

You had a heart, but it was lazy.
Had a will but it burned out.
And on nights I scream it's over
Just to cast away your doubt.

Battle wounds stored in boxes,
Hope you stained in smoke
I swear I thought I lost it
Oh no!
And I wish that she could see me
For whom I have become.
I'm not the same girl
That came undone.

I can't name this song I sing you
Just to have it all make sense
There's nothing to call the void
I've rejected . . .
