Hello everyone, it's been a long time but I'm back with a new drawing! This time I decided to use my new drawing tablet and draw something on Photoshop. It took some time to get used to but I ended up really liking it!
Like my previous art submission, I am drawing Roger Daltrey of The Who. The article ID for my last drawing is 14682. Anyways, once again I decided to draw him with short hair again (he grew it out around 1969) because I haven't learned how to draw curly hair yet.
One of my favorite things to do on YouTube is watch old performances of my favorite bands. Well, I was searching around and I found a good quality video of The Who's full performance at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967. I really liked the outfit Roger Daltrey was wearing for the performance (a long, pink and blue floral cape, a white shirt, and white pants) so I decided to try and draw him with the outfit on. Unfortunately it was hard to get a good still shot from the video (couldn't find any colored photos on Google) so I had to take a bunch of them.
Since it was so hard to get a good reference picture I decided in the end to just draw him wearing an outfit inspired by the real one.
I really like how it turned out, especially since it was my first time using a tablet. Looking at it now I can see a few mistakes but I'm sure with practice it will be much easier to use.
What do you guys think? Which musician should I draw next? I am considering doing Bob Dylan but any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Author's Note: Here is the link to their performance since it could be a little hard to find. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HWU9nNT1oUQ
