Lotus petals falling on the water,
Sunset falling below the horizon.
Times like these I wonder why I falter
To such trivial means.
Lying in the meadow surrounded by flowers
Gazing at the clouds, slowly drifting by.
Why am I such a coward?
I wonder as the Earth embraces me.
So many things we take for granted,
The Earth, the sky, you and me.
I remember when you once held me here,
But now, the dusty remains are all I see.
Maybe the aroma of the wind will erase the memories,
Maybe the Earth will spare me of this pain.
Losing you was such a shame,
But life goes on, the Earth is still turning.
Despite any natural disasters,
Any attacks, any wars;
The Earth continues it's motion,
A symbol of pushing on, a symbol of devotion.
I will take this revelation to heart,
You can never break me again.
Like the Earth, I will keep on keeping on,
Never again, will I fall apart.
