This 55 second YouTube video started off as a nice view of the chimpanzee exhibit at the Burgers' Zoo in the Netherlands, but what happens next was not quite expected.
This video shows you just how much animals know. Whether it was intelligence or instinct, I am still amazed. A remote controlled drone with a Go-Pro camera attached to it is being flown around the Chimpanzee exhibit at the zoo when it gets a little too close. Alarmed, the chimpanzee quickly grabs a stick and gives the drone a good whack! It completely destroys the drone causing it to fall out of the sky. Then we get a little too close to the chimp for comfort. Curious, the chimp grabs the drone, holding it up to its eye, chewing on it, and smelling it . . . all while the camera is still recording. Unamused, the chimp throws it on the ground and walks away.
The title of the video is "Chimpansees halen drone naar beneden en filmen elkaar! | Chimpanzee" and is posted to the Burgers' Zoo channel.
