Near Spring Break I had to go on a trip to a nearby town (it was very small) because my mother said we should go visit her new husband's family. My brother and I really didn't have a choice. It was dreadfully boring and since we weren't staying at a hotel room but at my new, unfamiliar uncle's one bedroom house it made it even more unbearable. He didn't have any Internet or cable so my little brother kept whining. Although our uncle did have some old VCR videos like "Felix the Cat" but we didn't find much interest in it. It was then we went out on his balcony and found a gorgeous white cat perched atop of the railing. When my brother and I went inside it followed us. We finally had someone to play with! We were ecstatic. The cat was very friendly and loved to be pet. His name was Meow Meow. It slept with us on the blow up mattress in the cramped living room.
The most heart warming thing about it was our uncle was blind and Meow Meow would help him around the house by meowing at certain check points or at dangerous places. I watched as the generous white cat hopped on the couch ledge and the old blind man placed his hand on the cat's back while the cat guided him to the end of the hallway - taking his time with his master.
