Hey, I'm Gone142 trying to write you Whyvillians an article. This article will deal with Canada Day and Independence Day. Canada Day is celebrated in Canada on July 1st and Independence Day is celebrated in the United States of America on July 4th.
Well, I am a Canadian, and trust me, from when our nations were born to now with the September 11th tragedy in between, we supported each other. When the 9-11 tragedy occurred, we had planes in my town in Newfoundland and in many others. The planes were here for the people who were stranded and couldn't get in the US because the Army was in the skies, looking for planes that shouldn't be there, and they could've gotten shot down.
So, they stayed here in Canada with us. My experience was when they were in my town, they stayed in many of our schools and we (not me, our town) served them with food and shelter until all of this was over. Like Merchant said in her article dealing with Independence Day, "Independence Day will be changed."
As I said, Canada and many, many other countries have been supporting the USA through all of this. So when two of our celebrations for our countries occur so close together, we will think of each other and what we have all been through. I hope the terrorists will be caught and be punished for what they have done! People, just a few of those terrible people can change someone's life....
G2G, ;( ......
