For as long as I can remember, I have always enjoyed cute, round, chubby, and furry little make-believe creatures. I believe we can use creatures in which we know nothing about to extinguish the negative emotions we feel. By painting this serene creature nuzzled into the safeness of this forest and tufts of its own hair, I have come to peace with several situations in my life.
This is one of my many paintings from my Creatures of Peace series. I love to share this series with people, because I feel that each painting holds such strong meaning for me, but it could perhaps convey something completely different to you. Many of these paintings in this begin with sadness, but end in joy. My strongest hope is to spread some of that joy to you.
Would you feels safe enough to slip into a deep slumber in this wooded scene? Perhaps if you knew there were no snakes, mosquitoes, or spiders that could harm you while you surrendered to your dreams?
