Here are some old photos of three different flowers, plus a bee. Sadly, I do not know the names of the flowers, but I can guarantee that is a honeybee (Apis) from Los Angeles. These pictures were taken using my Canon Rebel T3i and T2i (both set to macro mode) and some talcum powder. The talcum powder catches light easier and allows a very subtle glow when small amounts are blown towards the subject. Just be careful not to use too much powder as you may need to wipe the dust off your lens and probably the subject of focus.
