So as you know, the first day of school is just around the corner! Some of you may be starting freshman year or some of you, like me, will be at the beginning of the end, senior year! But no matter what grade you are going into, we all face the same problem . . . what do we wear to school?! Well, hopefully if I show you what I love to wear to school, it might give you some ideas!
The first item is something I think everyone should have . . . a plain black skirt! This is a simple item, but it is extremely versatile and will quickly become your best friend. It looks great with literally any shirt! I can tuck in a t-shirt to make it look super cute, wear a jean jacket with it, wear a solid color top or patterned! The possibilities are endless which makes this item great for me just throw on when I have to get up for that 7 a.m band practice.

Now I'm going to move on to another essential for me, the blue denim! I have no idea what I would do without my favorite jean jacket and jeans because they go with so many different items. The oversized vintage jacket is great to wear with leggings, high socks or tights and looks amazing with a skirt, turtleneck, t-shirt or tank top. I really recommend putting a nice knit sweater underneath for fall (i like burgundy, forest green or dark yellow). As for the jeans, I bought them where I work and they are my FAVORITE. I love them so much I honestly wear them once to twice a week. I recommend getting yourself a pair of ripped boyfriend jeans because it will change your life; making a super nice outfit becomes super easy!

This grey, cropped crew neck is perfect for fall to wear with a pair of jeans (like the ones above), a pair of high waisted skinnies, a skirt, shorts or leggings. It's all the comfort of a crew neck, but it just adds a little bit of style. It is the softest thing i have ever worn and I think it is a wardrobe essential as you can wear it to any casual place and look super cute. It's great for days you just want to be comfortable!

I'm going to start off with the shoes! Theres 3 pairs here, a burgundy pair of flats/loafer things, white converse (very old and dirty now i should say grey) and the good old doc martens. All these shoes are stylish and for school most importantly... COMFORTABLE! I can survive the long days without my feet hurting wearing any pair of these shoes!
The grid socks I just threw in because they are a cool accessory to wear with a cool pair of white or black shoes! They were just so cool i think that they add a super modern touch to any outfit. Now, the high socks are ESSENTIAL. On a cold fall day, you can wear a skirt, be warm and look cute as heck! They are so good to casually match with almost anything, and look great with a pair of boots! The scarf is perfect to keep warm and just add a little something to an outfit.. as well as the hat And the glasses just look nice with anything!

I couldn't find the scarf but I got it from the Gap, I got the hat from Urban Planet and the glasses from the Black Market (only Toronto people will know that one!)
Lastly, the bag. I have given up on backpacks and decided to use a duffel bag. I got this for Christmas, have used it every day since and it literally has not worn out. This is the best, roomiest bag ever and I love it so so so much! It's so easy for school and it looks much nicer than a chunky backpack! And if you're more creative than me, you can throw some pins on it and make it more personal. I only have a Simpsons one on it but hey I tried! And sorry O literally did not bother to take all my junk out of it so it looks bumpy.
