I was thinking about traveling a lot lately, how I wanted to get away and explore somewhere new. But then I thought to myself, "How many times have I truly explored in my own city?" I always hear people ranting about what's wrong with their hometown and how they can't wait to get out. Do our "hometown" goggles blind us from seeing the sights from a tourist's fresh perspective? So I took off with my camera and treated my city as if it were a brand new place, and I was surprised with how many things I didn't know about this place - how interesting the architecture really was even though I pass by it so often.
