Vegetarianism

BabyPowdr here, agitated. Very.

I don't believe it is wrong to be vegetarians, but frankly, it isn't right. There is such a thing as a food chain, and a chain of events. You must know that if one thing stops eating another, the thing that is no longer being eaten gets out of control and overpopulates, causing a chain reaction. Whatever it ate, it will eat more of, and make that creature or plant endangered. It will be reduced to nothing, due to the overpopulated predators.

Dissection is so totally not wrong. I used to think it was, but now, I know. Did you know that dissection of cows led to the discovery of how to treat people with diabetes 75 years ago? Without dissection, everyone with diabetes would simply die. And without dissection of baby pigs, we wouldn't be able to have surgery -- did you know that? We would die of simple things, such as appendecitis. You tell me... are you ready to turn in all future medical science advances? Without lab rats, we wouldn't be as far in cancer studies as we are. Without cows, there would be no insulin! It is true, now bacteria produce insulin, but we wouldn't be able to do that without experiments involving cows years ago.

I disagree that using animals for science is wrong. I am all for it, because animals do not think like us. They have no greater meaning in life other than to serve us. That is what domestication is. Why do we breed cows? To eat. Horses? To ride. Foxes? To make coats. We breed animals for our own enjoyment, food, and clothes. What the heck do we grow plants for? To eat and look at and wear (cotton, etc). That is it...

As for dissecting cats, you know that they are dead, and color-coded? All you have to do is look in there, and answer the lab questions. You who cannot deal with this, you shouldn't be in biology or science. And don't think you will ever be a nurse, doctor, or vet. You just won't have what it takes.

Learning it from a book wouldn't cut it in the real world, kids.
