Over the last few weeks, I have suffered from some terrible art block. I sit there, staring at a blank canvas, pen weakly held in hand, yet the ideas decline my summons. Such a feeling produces frustration in any artist, for my mode of self-expression has been hindered, and nothing I attempt to draw seems quite right. However, I have determined to persist through this lack of inspiration.
One solution to art block that I have heard of is to sketch daily and sketch whatever comes to mind, regardless of how displeased I am with the result. To motivate myself, I decided to share my progress with you all, so without further ado, here are some of the doodles I mustered up this week.
All three were drawn with a Wacom Drawing Tablet and Paint Tool SAI.
I cannot say I particularly love any of them, and none are finished pieces, though hopefully continuing to do this will help me break through my art block. If you have any suggestions for future work, please let me know! Thank you for reading.
