Before reading iLLSA's article, I always thought of adults in Whyville as a bad thing. I never quite understood what Whyville meant when it said to report anyone who was an adult. I always thought it meant any adult and not an adult pretending to be a kid.

My friends and I felt that the reason we came to Whyville was so we could get away from the older people like parents and teachers. We had also heard that most adults on the internet prey on kids and stalk them. I'm sure none of us ever thought of adults as being people too.

My friends and I have thought of ourselves as good Whyvillians, never stopping to think that making fun of these adults was a very un-Whyvillian thing to do. Reading iLLSA's article has opened my eyes and made me see that not all adults are bad people or stalkers, that some of them just wanna do what all of us in Whyville take for granted. And that's get to talk to people from all over the world and do fun things like design and even learn some stuff along the way with the games.

To me, Whyville is a very special place to hang around, and if we're mean to others it won't be special anymore. I hope that some of my friends get a chance to read that article, because it will make them see how wrong we were for not considering the feelings of the adults in Whyville.
