Hello everyone in Whyville! My name is babe198, and for this
week's Whyville Times newspaper, I have submitted an interview on how people
react to the mentioning of a "swearing tool" that may be created in Whyville. There's a rumor going on about this.
Most people that I questioned were disappointed to hear that a swearing tool, which would let some people say whatever they wanted, no matter how obnoxious, could
even be mentioned. In my interview with a friend of mine, MaGrIdALe, she sure proved my theory that this tool would be very unpopular.
Interview with MaGrIdALe:
Me: Hi, do you think I could interview you on a very important matter today?
MaGrIdALe: Ok.
Me:Do you think people should be able to say rude and disturbing language on Whyville?
MaGrIdALe: No, I don't think there should be disturbing language, but there are some people that still speak that way and don't get taped. :S
Me:So, you are saying the Whyville policy should be a bit more careful and ban some more words?
MaGrIdALe: I guess I am, maybe then people could learn not to say bad things to other people.
Me:If people put out petitions in order to use a swearing tool, would you be happy?
MaGrIdALe: No, because it is only used to hurt people's feelings. :(
Me: If Whyville put out a swearing tool, do you think that most citizens of Whyville would eventually quit?
MaGrIdALe: Yes, they would if they were hurt by the swears. My friend almost left because of that. :(
Me: Thank you MaGrIdALe, that's all. I'm glad you could be a part of my important interview.
MaGrIdALe: No problem, I enjoyed it. :D
So, now all of you know one citizen's opinion, and hopefully you will agree
with her that a swearing tool is a definite no-no! All our citizens should
be able to visit Whyville without being teased or bullied. EVERYONE should
enjoy Whyville! Then, EVERYONE could have fun!
