Ever been asked to try drugs and you want to say no, but you think people will make fun of you? It takes practice to ace a math test or hit a home run, just as it also takes practice to say "no" to drugs.
Try practicing these phrases so you will know how to refuse if anyone offers you drugs. I've found that they work really well.
1. "Eww. No, thanks. I hate the way it smells."
2. "I'll pass. School is hard enough without messing myself up with drugs."
3. "I'm an athlete. I won't be able to compete if I do that stuff."
If you do get asked to try drugs, be sure you tell an adult about it. If you're scared the kids will find out you told, tell someone you trust. The counselor at your school may be able to help these kids get off their addiction and he/she won't tell anyone that you told them.
