An American Poem

Whyville Poet |
'Ello, its me, sugapuff7, writing a poem. Well, here it goes!
Off in the distance
fireworks crackle
like the crackle of a fire
on a cold winters day.
The colors are bright
yellows, red, whites, and blues.
Bursting with joy
that they were set off to the air.
The anthem is playing,
the crowd is on their feet,
the babies are crying,
and I'm watching with great care.
I've never been good at rhyming, so I made it free verse, LoL. Now I
gotta let my mom check her mail, so I wrote this in a hurry.
