Why-Passes Are No Scam

Hi, Whyvillians. I would like to talk about something that has been bothering me for a very long time. All these petitions and articles talking about how Whyville is lying to us and why we shouldn't have to buy Why-Passes... City Hall has explained to us over and over again the need for Why-Passes, but people keep on making petitions and talking about how we shouldn't have any more Why-Passes. I understand that some of you out there are unable to get them and that is why you're making these articles, but if it weren't for the Why-Passes, none of us would be able to get on Whyville because there would be no Whyville left. You see that, right?

These Why-Passes are no more than what you probably spend on junk food a week, so I'm sure you would be able to wear down -- oops, I mean, talk your parents into getting you a Why-Pass. If you can't, then stay in the waiting room reading the articles (which are fun, by the way) and stop making petitions and articles that complain about Whyville.

I love Whyville and I think the people who run it are doing a great job, but if you keep writing this stuff, you're taking their time away from improving Whyville -- instead, they're having to write to all of you, explaining the need for Why-Passes over and over again! :[

This is girlyleo, hoping to not see another ridiculous petition or article bad mouthing Whyville again. LoLz, sorry to sound rude, but I feel very strongly about this.

Thankiez and byez. :)

I recently saw the poll results, and 75% out of 450 people voted yes, saying that Whyville's Why-Passes are a scam to get money. Do you really think that the people at Whyville are charging money for Why-Passes and wanting sponsorships from companies and such so they can have all that money for themselves? I think not! Believe it or not, it supports you!

The reason they want money for Why-Passes is because they want to keep Whyville up and running. Believe me, Why-Passes are not a scam to steal money -- probably not one cent of that money goes to them (I don't think). The money from the Why-Passes also keeps Whyville from crashing all the time. And because of the money they make, it makes Whyville fast and not so choppy. With more money from Why-Passes, Whyville could be even faster, and hold more people!

And what's that you say? Why can't you have another place to hang out at? It's because Whyville needs a sponsor to pay for the room on the Internet, so they can make that new hang out spot. Having a cool giant web site with almost 300,000 people registered at it isn't a free deal. That's why Whyville needs an income. Don't you like having a salary of your own?

All of the money Whyville receives helps Whyville grow; without your money there will be no more Whyville! So please, buy a Why-Pass.

And if any new poll comes out saying that Why-Passes are scams, VOTE NO!
