Whyville and Me!

Blueberrie
Guest Writer

Hi, Bluberrie here. This is my first time writing for the Times, so if it's not that great, I'm sorry (LoL). Anyway, what I'm here to talk about is how Whyville has been for me in the 3 months I've been on it.

Since the very day I joined Whyville, I knew I'd love it! When I first stepped into the Square, I saw a girl with a nice face. In my mind I was like 'Wow! I hope one day I'll look like that!' (Just for the record, I do LoL). I worked really hard on raising my salary (now I've finally got it up to 50, not that great, but good enough for me!). I worked really hard on my face, and all my work paid off. I started meeting a lot of new people that were very nice to me. I already loved Whyville.

A short time later, though, came that awful (jj) day when I was first introduced to.... THE WAITING ROOM! LoL! I knew this meant I was no longer considered a "Newbie". I was glad about this, but also a little upset, because if Whyville had too many people on it, I would have to wait in this room.

Well, that was fine with me, because after a while, I discovered that in the waiting room, you could read the Times, and check on the map. My Whyville life continued to be the same until one ordinary day, I tried to get on Whyville, and saw that they had changed the map to just little stick figures!!! I wrote to city management, and their reply was that the numbers were simply causing too much confusion. I wondered how I would ever know when I could get on. I just decided to randomly try to get on every day.

Then came another ordinary day when I decided to look at the map. Changed again! Well, this time, I liked the change! If you haven't seen the new map yet, then I'll tell you what it's like: Where the numbers used to be, there are either 2 people, indicating there are "few" people in that location, 3 people, indicating there are "several" people in that location, or 6 people, indicating that there are "many" people in that location. You can tell this because of the legend.

Whyville workers: Thank you! Great job! You were able to find a good way give us a basic idea of how many people are on, but without letting people criticize you, quibbling over the little details!

I think Whyville is a great way to learn and meet new people, and I really think we should all stop sending hate mail to City Management, because they do try their best to make Whyville a safe and fun place to go. Please don't be mad at me if you don't feel the same way, because we all have our different opinions.

This is Bluberrie, signing off. See y'all later!
