I have seen some people do surveys and get them published; well, I decided I can do that, too!! But instead of doing it about your personal life, I thought, how about Whyville? It will show the opinions of Whyvillians without offering clam awards like sometimes happens in the polls. So, here we go!!

The questions I will be asking are...

  1. What do you think of Why-Passes?
  2. How do you think Whyville should improve their way of paying for all this?
  3. What do you think of the waiting room? Can it be improved?
  4. Do you ever feel left out of the "popular crowd"? Is there a "popular crowd"?
  5. Where is your favorite place on Whyville to hang out?

Here's what I said (it's longer than most because I had time to think):

  1. I think that Why-Passes are a good way to make money to keep Whyville up. Even if that means it taking forever to get on Whyville. For the best things in life, sometimes you just have to wait!!
  2. Yes, definitely!! Maybe instead of just doing Why-Passes, put up some ads ASAP. The faster they make money, the faster they can get more servers up and more people that can get on Whyville, and that's always a good thing!
  3. The waiting room is definitely annoying but a lot better than what it used to be. It also is needed to keep Whyville from crashing! Oh yeah, it could be improved. I think they should have a waiting list, so that the people that wait the longest get in before the lucky few that get in on their first try. I don't know about you, but I hate having to type my password in multiple times!
  4. The popular crowd... well, I don't think I'm part of that. It seems that whenever I try to talk to some people, they just ignore me. That bothers me. But hey, what can I do?
  5. I don't really have a favorite place; I go anywhere there are nice people to talk to!

  1. I think that Why-Passes are great, but the bad thing is that they expire and they cost real money.
  2. I think Whyville can maybe lower the price of Why-Passes. Or it would be so much better if you can pay for them in clams not real money.
  3. I think that the waiting room is really bad. Maybe there can be a 2nd Whyville because so many people are coming to Whyville. But you can use the same usernames.
  4. Yes there are many popular crowds. I am in one. There is nothing to change this. You can be in the popular crowd -- you just hafta work for it, if you know what I mean.
  5. My favorite place to hang out in Whyville is Pool Party. Whyville would be good with more places to hang out that are as popular as the playground and pool party.

  1. I think Why-Passes are a great Idea but instead of money we should be able to use clams.
  2. I think Whyville should improve by having more stuff like a street hangout or like more projectiles and a wedding chapel.
  3. I hate the waiting room. Yes, it could improve -- it could have like a chat line and fun games while you wait.
  4. Um no, I don't feel left out. I have a lot of friends and if someone is mad at me or something I just wont care, and yes I think there is a popular crowd but I'm not sure.
  5. My favorite place to hang out is the playground.

  1. Well, they're kinda not fair for people who don't come on all the time and don't want to buy one, but still want to come on once and a while.
  2. Umm... maybe if they asked people to sponsor them.
  3. Yes!!! They should have an icon so you can check your mail or make your face and stuff. And the colours make me dizzy.
  4. There is always a popular crowd. I go up to some people and say "hi" or "I like your hair" and they either warn me, move away, or completely ignore me, because they are talking to their "boyfriend" or "girlfriend".
  5. Spin speak all the way!! But if it's too busy, I just go to illusions talk or the 'platz.

  1. Why-Passes are kind of stupid. But they are to raise Whyvile money, so they're sensible, I guess.
  2. I think they should find a fun way of improving the site, and getting money.
  3. I think the waiting room is a waste of space. It could be improved. People would be able to check their mail, or something interesting like a game.
  4. I sometimes feel left out of the popular crowd. There is a popular crowd, I guess. The people who are known, and the newbies aren't in the popular crowd, but they can be.
  5. My favourite place is the Playground, or the Pool.

  1. I think they are a last resort, I hope there is a way to get rid of them.
  2. I think Whyville should get some sponsors or something.
  3. I think the waiting room can be improved by having a chat there or something where you can check your mail
  4. Yes, I feel left out of the popular crowd. The popular crowd is sconner and the rest of 'em.
  5. The disco and spin speak.

  1. I think Why-Passes are okay because they help Whyville get money and Whyville needs money.
  2. They could get rid of the waiting room and just have a map and paper on the screen.
  3. As I said in answer #2, it should only be a half page with a paper and a map.
  4. There is no popular crowd, because if you don't know the person in real life, how can you tell?
  5. Probably the Spin speak or the Pool Party, because my girlfriend's there.

  1. I think Why-Passes are, well, not the best way to get money.
  2. Whyville could get jobs and pay for this site in real life, that pays good money. Editor's Note: I'm confused! Do you want the City Workers to leave Whyville to get "real" jobs somewhere else?
  3. I think the waiting room should have more to do and the map, well, I don't think it should be there because it just makes us more frustrated thinking why can't we get on.
  4. I don't always feel left out, because if they think I'm not cool enough for them then just go to someone who thinks you are cool enough for them, like your friends.
  5. Spin speak is my favorite place to hang out because if I sit there my friends always come there and then I'm not alone.

That's all! Thanks to everyone who gave their opinions! Also, thanks to the Times Editor for publishing them and continuing our right of free speech. We appreciate being able to voice our opinions to everyone in a nice organized way!

This was plenty of work but it was kinda fun talking to all different kinds of people! Bye! =)
