Why Join Whyville

RachelJay
Guest Writer

Hey, it's RJ!

Now, as you all know, a lot of guests visit our site daily, trying to decide if they should join. I wrote this article in hopes of guests reading it and joining Whyville!

I give you FIVE (yes FIVE) reasons to join Whyville, with follow up comments from yours truly!

1. Meet people!

Did all you guests know that Whyville has over 260,000 citizens with an average of 4,000 visiting EVERY SINGLE DAY? That is a lot of people to meet and become friends with!

2. Learn something!

Yeah, yeah, it might not seem that games like Smart Cars racing are educational, but underneath all that fun is pure knowledge. See, the ~*BRILLIANT*~ people at Whyville Headquarters transformed learning about energy from this...

"Energy: Pronunciation: 'e-n&r-jE
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural -gies
Etymology: Late Latin energia, from Greek energeia activity, from energos active, from en in + ergon work -- more at WORK. Date: 1599
1 a : dynamic quality b : the capacity of acting or being active
2 : vigorous exertion of power : EFFORT
3 : the capacity for doing work
4 : usable power (as heat or electricity); also : the resources for producing such power

...to a fun race car game!

3. Real Life Experience!

At Whyville you get to make your own face, or as we Whyville citizens call it, 'Picking Your Nose' LoL! You get to make your own house, go shopping (but hey, who needs help learning how to shop?), Dancing, and so much more!

4. You earn Clams! (Whyvillian money)

When you play games at Whyville, you make 'money' or clams, and can spend it to get face parts, bricks to build your house and lots more. Basically you get PAID to PLAY! LoL!

AND...

5. You have FUN!

When you're playing games, and chatting, voting, racing, launch your rockets into space, you're having fun!

Now, say you now want to join Whyville, where to start? Here is my help list to get started!

1. Visit Grandma. She will give you some beginner face parts to get your face started.

2. Go to City Hall and click on the Vote booth. In there, go to the petitions and sign them! BUT here is something you should know about the petitions.

If they say something you strongly think is offensive, don't sign it, even if they say, 'if you sign this, I'll give you clams!' They won't. Trust me. I tried.

3. Go to Whyville square. Under it there are 3 links:

  1. Getting started in Whyville
  2. Earning more clams
  3. Log out

I can't tell you everything in this article cause most of it has already been written! Click on 'Getting started in Whyville' and 'Earning more clams!' to get even more advice from Fellow Whyvillians.

This is RJ, going to go ice her fingers for writing so much,

RachelJay
