Hello, fellow Whyville citizens! OoreganoO here with some quite
disturbing news. I was watching the news the other day and for the
first time in Canada, a human has been found with a case of Mad Cow
Disease! The news didn't give much detail but they did say they think that
71 other people may have been infected.
Experts are not quite sure how Mad
Cow disease can travel from cow to human. Then they said that one herd of
sheep and a herd of water buffalo were slaughtered because they were
believed to be infected. They did no tests or anything! They just
brought the two herds to the slaughterhouse!
I just can't decide whether it was for the best or not. I mean, I know some how humans can get infected and die, but they only THOUGHT! They didn't take any time to see if the two herds were infected! That was 2 herds destroyed for maybe no reason,
depending on if the were infected!
Well, I thought I should let everyone know about that...
