What's In It

Hello! Wildfire9 here again! I'm going through my kitchen, looking for something to eat. Mom needs to go shopping...

I thought I should write an article on what's in our favorite foods, so I started with...

PopSecret (tm) Pop Corn. Now, you're gonna say, "Well, DUH! All that's in there is CORN!" I hate to tell you, but that's not all!

Ingredients: Popcorn, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, salt, butter (cream, milk, salt), artificial and natural flavor, color added, freshness preserved by propyl gallate.

Now, do you need COLOR in your popcorn? Kinda odd, eh?

Next, I looked what was in Betty Crocker (tm) Hamburger Helper (tm) Italian Parmesan. If you're like me, you could LIVE on this stuff! In case you've never heard of it, the hamburger is NOT in the box. Yes you add your own beef.

Ingredients: Enriched macaroni (wheat flour, niacin, iron, thianim mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), corn starch, dried tomato, sugar, salt, partially hydrogenated soybean and/or cottonseed oil, dried onion, wheat gluten, paprika, dried garlic, dried parmesan cheese, basil, citric acid, dextrose, glyserin, dried parsley, oregano, natural flavor, spices, soy flour, egg, freshness preserved by tocopherol.

*Puts ice pack on hands* As you can see, natural flavor is at the BOTTOM. That means there's small amounts of it in the food. I think most of those other flavors are FAKE... sad.... I could hardly pronounce half of them....

Finally, Old El Paso (tm) Taco Shells. My mom has a great recipe for taco meat, so I thought I'd list the taco shells here.

Ingredients: Corn processed with lime, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, salt, colored with extract of annato.

Did you know that Old El Paso is actually a Pillsbury company?

Well, that's all, folks! (My bro is watching Looney Toons(tm).)

Buh Bye! Wildfire9
