Children of the War
|
Fyredra
Whyville Poet |
At the heart of a war-torn land,
Two little ones embark upon a journey,
Amid ruins and ashes and upon feet weary,
Together they stride hand in hand.
Children of the war,
One an orphan,
The other forsaken,
Through the valley of death they tore.
Ere their quivering hopes doth increase,
Fleeing from the terrors,
Of their ancestors?? errors,
Seeking the blessing of peace.
