Hi, this is PinkGal23 here. Today I'm here to write about some boys/men that have really caught my eye. These boys/men show that maybe there are some true gentlemen left in the world. One story happened in real life and one happened in Whyville. So read on:
Real Life.
This summer, I went to a sleep away camp up at a major university. Because of where I live, I needed to take a plane to get there. On my way back from camp I was on a crowded shuttle with my mom and my sister, heading toward the airport. There were only 2 seats available, but because none of us wanted anyone else to feel left out, we all stood. Just then a man who was sitting in a seat to the right of these two empty seats stood up and said, "Excuse me, young ladies but I am sure you would be more comfortable sitting down. Here, take my seat." Now can you believe that? Someone went completely out of their way to make a couple of complete strangers feel more comfortable. How many times can you say a man has done that for you!
Now for the Whyville Story!
Not too long ago, I made friends with a boy on Whyville. (No, we aren't dating, we are just friends.) One day I asked him if he was ever single, would he consider going out with me. He told me yes and then I asked him if he saw me as ugly. He told me that I definitely wasn't ugly, but I shouldn't really focus so much on my looks. You might be thinking, how is this gentlemanly? Well, think about how many times you go into Pick Your Nose on Whyville or primp yourself in the mirror in real life. Wouldn't it be nice to know that a guy really thinks that you're great, even without your looks? I mean, I think it takes a real gentleman to say that out loud.
Ok, so now that I have showed you two stories about these two gentlemen, I want to get to the point of this article. For girls: This shows that there still are some decent guys in the world (LoL). And for guys: You could really learn something from these two!
