Love can turn a frown to a smile
Love can make one's life seem worthwhile
Love can make someone's happiness real
Some say love is the best feeling you can feel
But what love is to me is only getting hurt
giving someone my heart
and having them throw it in the dirt
a pain that exists deep down inside
incredible sadness I try to hide
To me, love is not the best feeling you can feel
but since I've been hurt so much,
I'm praying that love has the power to heal...
