Hello fellow Whyvillians! OoreganoO here! Guess what's coming up!!! Can you guess? HALLOWEEN!!! Costumes, candy, parties, haunted houses!! All that is coming soon...
October 31st is that scary day that we all look forward to! Not only in real life, but on Whyville, too! I'm sure there will be a lot of people on Whyville that will dress up. Let's all show some Whyville spirit and make some costumes for Halloween. You could wear an old dance costume, buy a costume... or even make one! For example, you could make a ghost costume out of an old bedsheet and cut holes for the eyes and such.
Decorating! We can't forget about haunted houses, and all the spooky decorations! Have fun on Halloween! Make your neighbors scream! ;) Well, maybe not scream, but you know what I mean! There are plenty of simple Halloweens crafts you could make for Halloween decorations... here's one...
LANTERNS!
Supplies:
- tin can
- hammer
- nail
Instructions
Get a parent to help you. Take your tin can (coffee tin, soup can, anything metal) and fill it with water. Then put it in the freezer overnight. The next day, when the water is frozen, take the can and think of a design, any design -- it could be a ghost, witch, anything, but you might want to start with something simple, like the words "Happy Halloween!" or something like that. You then use your hammer and nail to make the design in the can. Hammer the nail a quarter way into the can, then take it out. Make a hole-punch appearance to the lines in your artwork. Continue doing this until you have finished. Then, let the ice melt and put a candle inside and light it! Make sure you get an adult to light it or have adult supervision. Then bring it outside on Halloween!
Those are some easy Halloween ideas get you all spooked for Halloween! ;) Until next time...
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
