Story Contest Winners

It's me, emma200, with your contest winners for the Why-Passes that I was offering a LONG time ago! :)

Drum roll, please! Dun dun dun... the winners are: kiska, giggler01, and tommigirl! Congratulations!!! (You'd better be thankful, since I'm spending my allowance on you! LOL)

Well, here are their entries, and don't worry, I got permission from all of them to publish them.

They're all about the topic "What I would do without a computer". But it was just a coincidence that they were all the same topic, I didn't favor that topic, I promise. =)

KISKA

Hmm... what would I do without a computer, you ask?

Well, first of all, I would probably go crazy. At night I would stay up saying, "No computer, no Whyville, no fun, me go crazy." I would spend a lot of the day thinking, "What would I be doing if I was on Whyville right now?" (Which I usually do anyway since WHYVILLE is always busy during the summer! =( ) If I didn't have a computer, I would spend a lot less time fighting over the computer with my 2 sisters! If I didn't have a computer, I would probably try to write a story or a book, because I love to write. I would also spend a lot more time finding something to do.

So in conclusion, without a computer, things would get pretty boring sometimes. I probably wouldn't know all the cool stuff that I have learnt from Whyville.

Before I wasn't so crazy about computers. But then I was introduced to this thing called Whyville, and now it's my life! I am SO addicted to Whyville! Which is why I really need a Why-Pass!

Thanx for your time!

What I would do without a computer.

Whyville plays a major role in life, along with my Hotmail and MSN. Well, on days like today when I am babysitting, they are pretty much life. And not without good reason.

I do enjoy the freedom of Whyville, and all the wonderful things about it. I have met so many great people, and learned so many great things. My computer also helps me stay in touch.

I would be greatly upset if I were to lose my computer, I will not lie to you. But, life moves on.

It is my opinion that computers have taken away from human beings, in a sense that everything comes so easily for us now. TV is now a convenient way of relaxing.

If I had no computer, I would probably get out more, and do things like ride my bike. I'd read more, like I used to when I was a little kid. Books are always better then movies, but being the generation we are, that is often hard recognize.

I used to love to bake. But that slowly got punched out of my life. Instead, it is replaced with a couple of hours of computer and a good movie.

And, if I were to lose my computer, I think I would be upset, but alive and better off then before. I keep meaning to sign up for a drama class and a yoga class. But somehow, time just flies away as I sit at my computer, even as I am typing this. Maybe then I'd get around to living a happier life in many respects.

TOMMIGIRL

If I didn't have a comp, oh boy, what could I do! I certainly would be hanging out with my friends more, as in *hey wanna hang out? We could maybe go on your internet or something*. I doubt I would've had my wonderful experiences on Whyville that I have had in the few short months I've had it.

I actually remember when I had no computer. It was horrible! I felt honored JUST to go to a friends and touch their keyboard and click their mouse!!! I would kill for even a simple game of Solitaire!!!!

*Ugh* No virtual neighborhood, chatting with friends, solitaire, and all the basic needs that keep me happy and not grouchy! I certainly feel weird even thinking about not having one, let alone having that be the truth...! I am more than happy to own a working computer!!! I really shouldn't be abusing it by using it so much, but... the empty chair... the screen saver or black screen... playing my favorite song... the mouse calling to me... the keyboard yelling, "Come on! You wanna talk to ur friends! type! write a story!... IT'S SO TEMPTING!!!"

Right now, I'm home alone and taking advantage of my sister not being here so I can be on without hearing her say "GET OFF, I WANT IT! IT'S HEAVEN!" Come on! There has to be people in this world that love the computer as much as I do!!! If not, I'm totally alone!!! Just remember, it's so tempting, so don't blame me! LOL

I really hope you liked my story! But if there are others that you want to grant a Why-Pass to, then that's totally ok! And if I lose, I totally understand, because I know how much other people want it... I have one for a bit longer! And I had sooo much fun writing this!!! Thanks so much for putting up this contest!!!
