NickFlick here, just to explain a nasty thing on my mind.
I'm sure most kids in Whyville think it's the safest place in the world, but when people use fake bad words to say disgusting stuff, is it really? Sure, there is warning and silence and everything, I know, but some conversations between people are just nasty.
A couple weeks ago, I went to a Geek Speak and overheard a bunch of people talking about how Whyville should have hookers. About a month ago, I had a girlfriend who, once we got into a private room, asked me for smex (sex)! I mean, for a kid to get such a bad idea is not right for this website, for this town.
My point is that I think Whyville is a secure place, but I am warning you citizens to be safe, careful, and to think about other people. If you are a victim or are afraid somebody's going to make other people into their victims, you have the right to 911 report someone right away.
Thank You,
NickFlick
Note from City Hall: Thank you so much for raising awareness of this issue, NickFlick! Citizens, if someone is behaving in a sexually offensive manner, please doubleclick on their face and report them right away. It may not bother some of our older citizens, but keep in mind that Whyville isn't just for older teenagers! Also, think about the sort of person who'd look for sex on a website that's clearly designed for kids -- no one wants someone like that in Whyville.
Remember, the 911 report is for more than just people asking for passwords. There's also bad behavior from racism, asking for personal info (from email to school names), to just plain filthy language. Please read the callbox instructions so you know all the rules!
