Uniforms in School

I recently read the article, Uniforms or No, That is the Question. I know it was just a simple article trying to get some opinions or something, but I have a major issue with the logic behind the article itself. Mainly it was these two lines:

"When I wake up, I know what I'm gonna wear because I don't have a choice. Keeps it simple."

I thought, "Oh my goodness, what is she saying?" What she really is saying is that it's good that she doesn't have a choice. That is not what I believe. We're people, we're SUPPOSED to have choices!

If this author comes from the U.S., I just don't understand how uniforms don't anger her! In my country, we have certain freedoms, certain rights. Uniforms are SO unfair, and they totally manipulate the rights of students. We should be able to choose what to wear. We're people, not robots, not animals.

We have this God-given power called FREE WILL, and if we can't make decisions about clothes, and how we look, then something is wrong. Someone, or some group is taking the free-will from us when uniforms are enforced in school.

I just wanted to share my opinion, thanks again.
