Clam Crimes

Hello! ACdevil6 here with a huge report to be on the lookout for!

Clam Scamming! What is it? Well, clam scamming can be one of two things:

  1. Someone asks for your password and says they will do something for you if you give it out.
  2. Someone will ask to trade with you and they will never send you their end of the bargain..

I talked to two people on October 16th about Clam Scamming and here's what they had to say:

Krusty102: Somebody asked me for my password.
ACdevil6: Did you give it out??
Krusty102: Yes, and they took all of my clams!

SgirlSLD: I've been scammed, too!
ACdevil6: What happened?
SgirlSLD: Some girl told me she would give me 900 clams! So, I gave her my password and she stole ALL my money!

Clam scamming is very serious business that no Whyvillian should have to face! But how can we put an end to clam scamming?? Here are some tips:

  1. NEVER give out your password, no matter how much they will give you, no matter how close the friend.
  2. Don't make any trades through mail or in a chat room.
  3. Use the Trading Post, Akbar's Face Mall, or Grandma's to get your supplies.
  4. If someone tells you they will give you clams, they can do it through a Clam Gram, NOT through your account. If they want to give you face parts, they can use the Trading Post.
