The Importance of Love

Hey, this is Jill20, and I'm here to tell you of a sad thing that has been brought to my attention. Yes, this problem is in Whyville, but I most frequently find it in real life. The problem is the overuse of "love".
Don't get me wrong, love is a wonderful thing, but nowadays it's not so valuable, is it? It used to be a huge deal for a boy to say, "I love you," to his girlfriend, and vice versa. But now, people are doing it all the time, casually.
I asked my friend about this. She had just gotten a new boyfriend, and when we got out of school, and no one was around she screamed, "I love him!"
"No you don't." I said. How could you love someone you had only been going out with for ten minutes? Her response was surprisingly simple: "There's a difference between saying "I love him" and saying to him "I love you."
There is?
So, next time you want to say, "Luv ya" to your girlfriend/boyfriend, think -- do you really LOVE him? Maybe you do, but chances are you don't, and you should wait until you really do. It'll be a lot more special.
This is Jill20, adios!
