Censorship

t's katrock with another article trying to get into the Times. I'm here now to talk about censorship in Whyville. Lately I have been asked what a friend of mine's name is. I typed and Ta-da! it said: "Sorry, try rephrasing your thought." Rephrase my thought!? Now I can't even say my friend's own name. I know some people curse and swear, but heck, I'm just trying to say a name. All I typed was, "Ashley".

Now, what I'm askin' is, why can't I say this name? It's not a swear, 'cause if it was, why would my parents name me that? You can't say "Kung-Fu" either. I found that out when I was talking about Karate and such. Some people on Whyville are gay, and when they say they are, they can't type it. So they have to type it "gai". Now, that bugs me. People say you have to be honest, and when people are, they can't even say it.

Some Whyvillians change letters to say swears. Today I saw someone say that their name is "Ash.ley". Today when I got asked what my friend's name was, I had to say Ash-ley.

I'd make this article longer, but I gotta let my brother on! You get my point...

From one side of Whyville to the other,
