Merry Christmas, Grandpa
Last year I was hurt so deeply in the heart
I was ripped from someone I thought would never part
I wasn't ready for what was coming my way
I thought tomorrow was just another day
I learned quickly that I should say, "I love you"
Every day so I could hear them say, "I love you too"
Things come and things go
But I never wanted to see a death so slow
So I reach into my heart and find something to say
Merry Christmas, Grandpa, I think of you everyday

I wrote this poem not to be recognized for anything, so therefore I will just leave my name unknown, but I would like you to know that they might be living one day, but another they're gone, and you realize what you forgot to say, "I love you."
