Hi, this is from whyu33. I hope you like it. This is the first article I've ever written.
While angrily waiting in the Whyville waiting room, I read the Whyville Times for the first time. I noticed plenty of articles from Whyvillians telling people not to have cyber boyfriends or cyber girlfriends. I tend to disagree. I believe having a cyber boyfriend or cyber girlfriend adds to the realisticness of Whyville. It is a relationship that can make Whyville more enjoyable. But, there are risks involved, so, I thought I would make a list of do's and don'ts for all those young Whyvillian couples out there.
- You can give out a/s/l, but don't get specific.
- Don't give out specific information such as city, address, school, Whyville password, and email address.
- If someone knows your email address, it is easy for them to send you a virus which would allow them to hack into your computer and find personal information about anyone who uses your computer. Don't give your cyber gf or bf your e-mail address, no matter how harmless they seem.
- Do not participate in any form of cyber sex. Nothing more than kissing is appropriate.
- Never meet your cyber gf or bf in real life. There is no guarantee that your cyber bf or gf is who they really say they are. This is the most important rule.
Stay safe. Have fun. And be careful.
I'm signing out,
