Heya, I'm Bracelet. Many of you know me as someone who accepts and helps out newbies. Yes, that's right "newbies" or the proper name, newcomers. So many of you go putting them down, for what reason? THEIR WHYVILLE AGE!! What (excuse me for the language but this is genuinely) stupid! Words can't explain how much this frustrates me.
I know there have been many articles on this subject, but obviously, they haven't been helping too much now have they? Ask yourself, how many times today, or just in the last hour have you told someone to go away or not to come near you? Honestly, now! There ya go, a lot right? I don't see the point, this is a sort of game, it's not real life and even if it was, that behavior is not acceptable in any way! I mean come on, would someone sitting beside you REALLY hurt you?
Put yourselves in their shoes, all you want is to feel welcome and maybe gain a few friendships while you're at it. Imagine, coming in to the playground after a while of arranging your face differently to be like the rest, only to find yourself being put down, projectiled, or *City Hall* knows what else! Maybe to YOU, the bully, this is innocent fun? Well, to the innocent this is NOT at all fun! Being accepted is very important in today's society; not being sure of yourself is something terrible, sometimes all you need is a little help by friends, not being put down constantly by "cool" people. I rest my case.
Oh and finally, next time you're putting someone down, try TALKING to the person first; they might just have a lot in common with you or be NICE people! Ever thought of that? Oh, and newcomers, again I say my house, the Newbie Chateau, is open for free living for any homeless citizens. =) Y-mail me if you need a home, all right? Don't be shy. ;)
