One hot summer day, City Hall was searching the internet. She was
very bored in the small city in Texas where she lived, so she decided to
go to a website to get tickets to anywhere but where she was.
While searching she came across line of tiny fine print.
She took out her glasses and looked closely at the writing that read:
Want a place where no one can disturb you and the weather is fair and
the views are great? Come to Whyville, the very best state!
After reading this she thought about it. There was nothing better to
do so she click on the screen and in a flash of light she was in a land
like no other. She had the best time of her life and thought
about the other people in the world that were like her and had nothing
better to do. So...she started a civilazation.
She hired people from all over and built buildings and stores so
people could do anything they could imagine. She came up with an idea to
have bulletin boards so people could post their problems and questions
in Whyville and in just a couple of days they would be answered.
She told her close friend Al Akbars about this magnificent place and asked
what he thought she was missing. Without even thinking for more than a
minute he said well don't people need their own unqiue face? So she
hired him and had him make his own store which today is called none
other than Akbars.
Other problems came up along the way though...things such as: What
about a place for people to live? How will people make a living? Where
will people get exercise? In just about a week all of these things were
solved. City Hall asked a man named Pepe if he could make bricks and
paint so that people could have a home to live in and Pepe agreed to it.
City Hall also came up with an idea to have games in places called the
Spin Lab and the Sun Spot where people could earn medals to get a salary.
She also created a field where people could play soccer, football, and
frisbee with items called projectiles. There was also a pool where pool
parties were held so people could get to know one another.
Soon enough, nearly a 1,000 people were joining Whyville and the
communities grew faster and faster. Bob, the man who worked at the land
office, had a full time job of creating plots for people to buy and build
their homes on and the Furniture Farm had to come up with many different
styles of furniture to impress the buyers.
This is how Whyville was created.
